I don't like the billionaires either but the Spanish FA won't do anything they're useless. There was a glimmer of hope when Sevilla's President (Del Nido) ganged up with 11 or 12 clubs protesting the disparity between the big two and the rest it seemed promising but much like the Spanish FA fell short and left much to be desired. I don't see any other way for it to be solved except if you add foreign money. Also the Malaga owners are spending money but if you look at their purchases they seem to be excellent value for money, the most expensive player was Santiago Cazorla who at €22 Million is a steal if you ask me. I rate him ahead of David Silva. Either way something's gotta give because the lack of competition is sickening

So what are the clubs supposed to do?
Sell themselves to some billionaires from Russia or the Middle-East so they can buy the best players from the other clubs in the same league?
I know that you're from Bahrain and you should know that this is nothing personal, but I'd prefer the clubs to be led by people from their own country.
Why aren't the sheiks trying to make their leagues better?
Train the best players from their country or region and try to make the Asian leagues as good as the European?
I know that this might sound a little bit ridiculous, but look at the Russian competition, it became really good and Zenith has won the Uefa Cup.
And you're right about Cazorla, he's a great player (still not as good as Silva if you ask me
), I'm pretty sure that Malaga will become a bigger threat to Real Madrid, Barca, Valencia and At. Madrid but they are still under At. Bilbao, Levante and Espanyol at the moment... just saying

^ I think that's a bit of a dreaming mentality. I'm not trying to take anything away from the middle eastern, or asian leagues, but their ability to sign top talent, in their prime is almost non-existant.
No player is going to want to leave a Man U, or Real Madrid, where they can play Champions League each season to go play in the Dubai League, or the Bahrain Premiere League....if those even exist. For one, they arent playing at the top level, and second, it would jeopordise their growth and potential visibilty to play for the national team.
Building a league is extremely hard, and not something that offers these guys instant gratification. Look at the MLS, they are probably at the forefront of trying to grow their league, but how many Houston Dynamo, or Chicago Fire jerseys do you see.....I can probably answer that for you....none. The rich guys buying teams want instant gratification, and a brand that they can build, they dont want to reinvent the wheel.

I live in Belgium, I'll never see a MLS jersey over here
And I wasn't saying that I'm expecting those leagues to become as good as the European right now.
The World Cup in Qatar is in 2022, they could make a lot of progress in 10 year.
And I was talking about making players from their own nation better, how many players from the Middle-East play in major leagues?
15, maybe 20? Not so much, that way they would make their national teams better too.
They could take the Russian competition as an example, Russia has strong teams in the Uefa cup, it has some good players in major leagues and the national team isn't bad either, they've become a lot stronger in the last 10 years.

^ I'll send you one, then you can be the only Belgian with an MLS jersey...
I agree with your points, I just think it's easier for these guys to buy their way to happiness quickly, instead of trying to develop something from the ground up.

On a more serious note: I'd prefer one from Landon Donovan, I'll pm you my address.
jk

But it's too bad that they aren't thinking like that.
If I would be a billionaire than I would sponsor my favorite teams (Real Madrid and ManU) and get KRC Genk to play Champions League every year for the rest of my life, with at least 5 Belgian players.
I would be a great billionaire, people would love me
