Damphousse charged with six counts of assaulting his spouse

"MONTREAL - Former NHL star Vincent Damphousse has been charged with six counts of assaulting his spouse.

The alleged incidents occurred between January 2008 and just a few weeks ago.

A document obtained at the Montreal courthouse today outlined the charges.

Damphousse played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Edmonton Oilers, the Montreal Canadiens and the San Jose Sharks in a lengthy NHL career."
