2 1/2 weeks left and the races are close for playoff positioning. Was wondering what the thoughts were with how it will turn out. I say Penguins take first in the east with Washington holding onto the eight seed. As far as the west the pacific division is up for grabs but I think the Sharks wont make the cut. Anyone else have input?

Wings fall again. Getting killed with injuries and the rest of the team can't hold us over. Pretty sure first it out of the question, unless something huge happens. I'd rather play dallas than Nashville in the first round though. We could use that home ice advantage in the playoffs. Wonder how far the wings will get this year.

Atlantic and Central divisions are domination this shit. Together they hold 50% of the playoff spots.

Hoping the Rangers can hold onto #1. Pens are hot, though, and if Washington holds 8 it won't be an easy round for easy team up top.

None of the higher seeded teams have won so far in the NCAA hockey tournament. Glad to see Ferris State moving on and it gave me a little pleasure to see the Wolverines fall tonight.

QUEBEC CITY TO BREAK GROUND ON NHL-STYLE ARENA IN SEPTEMBER

Quebec City to break ground on NHL-style arena in September

QUEBEC -- It's official -- Quebec City says it will begin construction on a new NHL-style arena this September.

Mayor Regis Labeaume says the $400-million arena will hold about 18,000 people.

The arena is expected to be complete by September 2015 -- now all the city needs is a team to play in it.

The Quebecor media empire landed the naming rights for the future arena and was granted exclusive rights to manage the facility.

Labeaume says the city can proceed with the project after finalizing an agreement with Quebecor before a March 31 deadline.

The province and Quebec City have pledged millions in taxpayer money for the project.
