There are a lot of great places here, but I think with anywhere, you want to go somewhere different.

I guy who works for my dad lived in northern Michigan. The photos he's shown us are amazing, such beautiful scenery.

UP northern Michigan or northern lower peninsula Michigan? Both have great views, just curious.

Edit: UP = upper peninsula

It's pretty dead up there for social activities (from my experience) but the views are great and it's perfect to have a cottage and go along for a long weekend with friends for some 4wheeling or snowmobiling.
