John Ahler and Brian Hayward may be the worst duo in professional sports broadcasting. So biased it's ridiculous. I'm watching the replay of last nights game and the comments they make are laughable. "Jonas Hiller is clearly one of the top 5 goalies in the league." "Jonathan Quick shouldn't be placed in the top 10 when discussing great goalies." Jonathan Quick is playing fantastic regardless of our defensive mediocrity. Quick gave up two goals and after each one they said, "Hiller would have easily made that save."

Seriously, that's awesome. I think we need to do a Detroit TS roadtrip during the playoffs.....

So we can watch one team make a solid run

Yeah, unless either your team or mine catches lightning in a bottle (like the Oilers did in 04/05), I gotta think that Detroit has as good a shot (or better) than anyone else in the West to make the finals. And the playoffs are more fun when you're actually cheering FOR someone (unlike last year when I was cheering AGAINST Vancouver).

I'm sure the Kings will make the playoffs but our offense is just terrible. We're 30th in goals per game. Embarrassing. Then again we're 4th in goals allowed per game, so our defense has been great. I'm honestly expecting a couple of trades sometime soon.

Yeah, I was pretty sure the Kings would be in the post season too when the season began. Still lots of time, but you NEED goaltending to win in the big show. Quick is great, but you're right, your D is killing you.
My team is about where I expected them to be, young, undisciplined, and still learning. Hopefully they're not getting used to losing. When they're on fire, they're SOOOO exciting to watch. When Hall is back from his injury that will help things a lot as the 2 and 3 lines will have better balance, and the number one line (Hall, Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins) can start to go on pure speed and skill again.
