Wish we coulda got Slava Voynov in the Penner deal. That kid is GREAT. What a night. Besides an awesome world series (which I'm watching highlights of right now), what a barn burner with Winnipeg (GO JETS!!!) and what a game with Boston/Montreal. But mostly, CAPS are not longer undefeated thanks to the mighty kids and the Bulin Wall in Edmonton!!! GO OILERS!!!! What a fun game. It felt like Stanley Cup atmosphere at the rink tonight. Caps are REALLY good. Outshot us nearly 2-1, and LOADS of scoring chances. But Khabibulin was ON FIRE, and the kids played well enough to get us through. What a fun night. That's all I got to say about that.

Truly, that was a thing of beauty. We all said it was already the goal of the year, in the FIRST game of the year. Geez, I remember that game like it was yesterday. What fun.
