Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade apologized Monday for suggesting that if the team does not do well with its infusion of superstars, the media “are going to make it seem like the World Trade has just went down again,'' the Miami Herald reported.
Wade made the remarks Sunday before a charity basketball game he hosts annually with former Heat center Alonzo Mourning. He was discussing a potential media backlash if the team – which recently added superstars LeBron James and Chris Bosh – should encounter a losing streak of two or three consecutive games.
``It's going to seem like the world has crashed down. You all are going to make it seem like the World Trade has just went down again,'' the Herald quoted him as saying.
On Monday, in a statement released by the Heat, Wade said, ``I was simply trying to say that losing a few basketball games should not be compared to a real catastrophe,'' the Herald reported.
He then said he sincerely apologized “to anyone who found my references to the World Trade Center to be insensitive or offensive.''

FYI ESPN did not go to LeBron's camp with the idea of "The Decision" show. His PR people went to ESPN and said that in order to get him to declare what team he was going to they had to produce and give him the hour of prime time or he would go to another channel. Also he did not want any commercials however if ESPN instited all proceeds had to be given to the Boys and Girls Club in his name.

The Heat will fail, they may have the trio of superstars but they lack a coach who can control them and there egos. Not to mention and most importantly they blew there whole salary cap on 3 players, I beleive $48 million for the 3, the cap is $54 if I am not mistaken, that doesnt leave much for the other 7 or so players.
The Heat will be a bust and emplode, they will not beat the Lakers, Celts, Magic, etc anytime soon
