Meh, I don't think it's in bad taste, and I understand what he's saying. Us Lakers fans went through this back in '04 when our "superstar team" lost to the Pistons in the finals. The media backlash and rigamarole was as if there was a real catastrophe. I'm as big an NBA fan as any, but it's just basketball. The media/press needs to sell a story, and the only thing that tops a massive comeback is a massive letdown.

 

I don't care for the NBA, not that I dislike it, just not my gig. As much as I dislike the Lakers (sorry guys, I'm a midwest dude) I hope they or the Cavs kick Miami's butt at least for a year. Someone needs a humbling.
