That said, Germany played incredibly well today, taking complete advantage of England's pathetic attempt at defending. Matthew Upson was utterly out of his league today. Imagine if he had to face Messi??? You guys know how much I support Rooney, but he was a ghost through this entire tournament. I pray he doesn't continue this poor form into United's season.

And again, Fergie better sign Thomas Muller - he is absolute quality and would be a gem playing behind Rooney next year.

 

Agree with Chris and Steve. We were bad in defense, but I think if that goal had been given it would have changed our strategy in the second half and also given us some much needed confidence.

Chelsea need to sign Suarez stat, can you imagine him poaching while Drogba is on the prowl.

Donovan will go to a top team after the WC. His spell at Everton and now the WC will garner him a lot of attention.

Come on... they had enough time to score again, so they did not have to throw everything forward. Germany was just too strong for England. The english playing was just poor and uninspired.
