THE NBA Finals Thread - Lakers vs. Celtics

Look for a HUGE game from Pau on Thursday night

There is an old saying in basketball that goes back to my playing days in high school and college; "live by the jumpshot, die by the jumpshot." The Celts need consistent inside play and rebounding to beat this Laker team with its unbelievable length. Much to the surprise of everyone, including most Laker fans, Bynum has been a solid contributor in the series, bum leg and all. When Bynum, Pau and Adam all have double-doubles (or something close to that) the Lakers are almost impossible to beat....unless someone from the opposing team has a 3 point shooting night of historic proportions.
Recent Finals Series history is filled with outcomes where one team steals a game or two with streaky shooting, but the team that dominates inside wins the series. Its interesting to see how the Lakers and Celtics have basically reversed roles from the 2008 series. In that series, the Lakers relied too heavily on outside shooting and got muscled around underneath by Garnette and Perkins. An interesting story line that is rarely touched on is how Pau has put on a solid 15-20lbs of muscle since being bullied by the Celts in the 2008 finals.
I am really looking forward to tomorrow nights game.

The Celtics played bad.
Seeing Pierce and Ray both suck horribly in one night, or seeing Ray go 0-100000 alone, is just as odd as seeing a shooting record broken.
I don't think the series is over yet. I think Boston is going to come out slinging the next game. Personally I expect Boston to take the next 2 games, and it's going to get CRAZY in LA.

Boston fan's, is it me or do y'all think Rondo is "over-thinking it" on the floor? I swear he makes easy passes look tough and is scared to death to shoot the ball.. I personally LOVE him and wish him great success (unless playing the lakers), but it just seems to me like he is over-thinking everything.
ps- I also think he was WAY over hyped after game two... That block on fish was awesome as well as the steal, but the 8 points was mostly because Kobe had 5 fouls and was play "amare" defense on him so he wouldn't fouled out.

Cmon Doc, really? Your calling Fish a flop, and blaming the refs for the foul trouble?

"But as far as the off-the-ball action, single double action, you are not allowed to hold. You're not allowed to bump and you're not allowed to impede progress. I read that this morning, and I'm positive of it. So you know, when that happens, it has to be called."
That above quote is the epitome of what Celtics defense is based on. Seriously, its pretty pathetic to see a coach ramble about how his team is getting short changed... when he and his merry band of leprechauns are the ones who play dirty and physical to begin with.
Now, supposedly, Fish is playing dirty D? Bwahahahhahaha, what a bum. Go get bent fool.

^^^ Coming from a guy who has Pierce and Rondo who are 2 of the biggest floppers in the league, I find this laughable! Add in how dirty KG and Sheed are it just amazes me! Guess when a wounded animal is backed in a corner they will do whatever they can to get out!

Dude, they are all complaining now... bwahahahhaha.
0forRay is blaming Artest's knee for his bad shooting performance, and also blaming the refs.
Game 4 should be fun
