Not at all. Big cashflow problems and around $200 million in debt, which has Perot mighty pissed.

 

There are VERY few professional teams that draw profit. In the NBA, there are probably less than 5 teams that are actually making money. The Lakers, Knicks, and Celtics are 3... Can't think of any others.

You wouldn't think that the most profitable NFL team is the Washington Redskins, but they are.

 

^^^ Yup, that deal from Fedex as well as the fact that there fan "draw" covers such a HUGE territory they make a killing in PSL and cable contracts + Snyder has the local TV stations on lock-down (look into the solider proposal story).. I'm not 100% sure about this, but from what I have been told is that most sports franchises live and die off of the CASH brought in on a weekly basis (parking,food,alcohol,programs) and utilize the rest to to write down there actual profits/losses...

That's pretty crazy, I had no idea most of the teams were pigs. I would think maybe the 3 shittiest teams didn't make money, but less than 5 teams that are profitable is just bizarre.

That Cuban bloke doesn't translate well over here. He seems to do things for the simple fact that it will be covered in the media. $100k to keep his name in the pot? He probably loves it.
