Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has admitted that the club have chosen Jose Mourinho to succeed Manuel Pellegrini.
"We have decided that Jose Mourinho will be the coach," Perez told a press conference.
“Pellegrini has finished this stage at Real Madrid. We will hire Jose Mourinho as coach once his contract situation is resolved with Inter.”
Following the completion of his historic treble with the Nerazzurri in the Champions League final this past weekend, Mourinho had himself admitted a move to Madrid was likely and Perez is confident they are getting the best coach in the business.
“He fits in with the style of play at Real Madrid that is to win first of all, with sacrifice and virtue of team spirit,” he added, in regards to suggestions that Mourinho’s defensive style won’t go down too well with the fans.
“We have learned here at Real Madrid that we should not just settle for anything, and we could not pass up the opportunity of getting the best in the world."

He will stay at Real long enough to put Barca to the sword. He will stay long enough for Ronaldo to come out of the closet. And finally, he will stay long enough for Sir Alex to retire so the Special One can come to the Theater of Dreams...

Ha ha Justin is right... the Special One will bring the treble back to Old Trafford. I hope he becomes England's coach for the 2014 World Cup.
