Derek Jeter (head cold) expects to return to the lineup on Tuesday.
He left Saturday's game after the seventh inning and didn't play Sunday after not having missed a game prior to that point. The Yankees are off on Monday and Jeter was probably due for an off day Sunday anyway, so this doesn't change much. "I could’ve played today," Jeter said, "but you have two days, so that’s pretty much it." Ramiro Pena got the start in his place on Sunday. Apr. 18 - 5:39 pm et

Jason Heyward drove in the tying and go-ahead runs with a two-RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Rockies on Sunday.
And the legend grows. Unconfirmed reports say that Heyward also saved a fan from choking on a hot dog before reaching first base. Heyward was facing tough left-hander Franklin Morales with the bases loaded and two outs. Morales had just unleashed a nasty 96 MPH fastball on the corner to even the count at 2-2, but when he tried it again Heyward went with the outside fastball and smacked a hard grounder through the infield to win the game. It was a fantastic piece of professional hitting that highlights just how advanced Heyward is for his age. Heyward also walked twice and added another RBI in the contest, giving him 15 already on the season. Apr. 18 - 5:07 pm et
This kid looks good.
