Poll: Will Derek Jeter Remain A Yankee For Life?
Given that Spring Training is just about in full swing, I thought I would start talking a bit of baseball.
Derek Jeter is a free agent after this season. Will he sign a contract that will make him a Yankee until he retires?
Personally, I don't see how Jeter could be happy playing anywhere else. Also, he walks on water to Yankee fans.
But most of all, MiniD might run his M3 off of a "rocky top" if Jeter left.
What do you guys think?

I hate the Yankees.....so whatever keeps them out of the World Series is fine with me.
but I do think Jeter should stay a Yankee....when you think of the Yankees it makes you think of a few great players, and Imo, Jeter is one of those players.

Really can't see him even considering an offer from another team. He's not so much about the business of baseball and the Jeter brand as he is about playing the sport he loves. The only thing I can forgive him for thinking about is playing for Torre at some point later in his career.
Jeter is a player you see once in a generation.

I also dislike the Yankees immensely. Especially last year when they eliminated my Angels.
But I have always kind of liked Jeter. He keeps his private life out of the national media - although I'm sure it is splashed all over the New York tabs - and he is as cool as the other side of the pillow in the clutch. I can respect that.
He has this little move he does when he sees an inside strike. He kind of shoves his butt out and hops back. It blocks the umpire and he gets a lot of strikes miscalled as balls because of that. I have always called it the "Jeter Jump." Pretty ingenius.
So I like it when he does well - except when he plays against the Angels.
A move to the National League would be fine with me.
