So it's in print, I think this will be Spain's cup finally. Led, of course, by Fabregas. Or possibly Holland, led by VanP...

Tainted, eh? He should be forever grateful for what he was granted as a player at OT. He never contributed to any of the championships won while he called OT home.

 

that's the great thing about world football these days... there really are several teams that could legitimately win. With everyone talking about Brazil, Spain, Holland, England, etc. I tend to forget about Italy, Germany, Portugal, etc. who always have a chance.

And there are plenty of teams who struggled through qualifying who are more than capable of lifting the trophy, like France and Argentina (if they ditch Maradona...)

Then there's a slew of potential Dark Horses, with so much talent spread around the world. Eastern Europe has a ton of great players (mostly Rosicky, Eduardo and Arshavin )

I think it's going to be a great tourney.

 

Good point, because he won't really have contributed either when the trophy is lifted at Emirates next spring...

 

Chris, I would be happier if England never qualified. It will be tough to watch them underachieve yet again.
