Yesterday as I was flying home I had about a 1 hour layover in Amsterdam airport and so I decided to look around some stores. After a few minutes of walking I spotted a watch shop so I headed in to take a look. I'm moving from shelf to shelf perusing the Breitling's and Chopards and I end up stood about a foot from this other guy who's looking at watches. Anyway, I turn to him to kind of move by and he looks at me and without a shadow of a doubt it was Emanual Adebayor.

I'm a big proponent of letting people like that have their privacy, but I am kicking myself this morning for not asking him if he'd mind a quick photo with me so that I could have posted it.

That whole game was filled with crap calls. I've seen better reffing at a Little League game

 

I'm a big proponent of talking to famous people

The worst they can say is leave me the hell alone. Unless they're being hounded mercilessly by paparazzi, usually stars like the ego stroke of being recognized. Cool that you saw him, though, was he as tall as he seems on TV?

I know it's not nearly the same, but we used to see DC United guys back in the day all the time at Taco Bell and stuff in Herndon. Back in the Agoos, Harkes, Eddie Pope days - like late 90s. We'd always go up and talk to them about the games, have them sign crap.

The only time someone got pissed was the day after Agoos had been nutmegged for a game loser (or own goal, don't remember) I saw him at the MacLearen Taco Bell and said "yo man, what happened?" He stared me down harder than I've ever been stared down. I was like "just playing around... you guys are awesome!" and walked right out of there That dude had tree trunks for legs...

 

Yeah, I'm regretting not saying something now.

He didnt seem that tall to be honest, maybe a little taller than me.
