Looks like it's time to concede. Seriously amazing plays from Tot today. The first strike, the series of incredible saves... at least we lost to some spectacular play. Van Persie easily could have had 2-3+ goals today His Rivaldo-esque chest trap turnaround was only bested by the save, and his free kick was almost perfect upper-left-90, but another incredible save. "There but for the grace of Gomes having the game of a lifetime go Arsenal..."

For reference, here's the Rivaldo goal that VanP came close to copying - one of my favorites of all time (and a great moment in Barca history) :

YouTube - rivaldo bicycle kick

what are you saying???

you will never get a coach as good as him.. injuries played a major role in holding back Arsenal this year, and these youngsters did really well...

exactly Arsenal might be a serious contender next year these youngsters have gained invaluable experience over the past year. Arsenal need to sell some and buy some. (Eduardo, Rosicky, and Silvestre)
- top class center back to partner Vermalen
- a defensive midfielder as cover for song
- Chamkh and a good winger would seal the deal.

Plus Arsenal should fire there inept medical team

Arsenal are far past the stage of beign considered "contenders", Arsenal should have been up there winning things... it's just not good enough.

But till when will this last? Arsenal will lose all this in a window of one or two weeks (as usual).. i remember in the 2007-2008 season they lost their title hopes after losing to united, and in the same week they went crashing out of the CL..
I quote myself from two weeks back..

the gunners lost everything in the span of 2 weeks.. nonetheless, they deserve alot of credit..

If we lose out on 3rd place today to a 1/2 strength Fulham... (knocks on wood)

I love how our injuries are announced on BBC in pairs, must be good luck

Clichy & Gibbs (both ankle), Bendtner & Denilson (both groin), Djourou & Song (both knee), Fabregas & Ramsey (both broken leg), Gallas & Vermaelen (both calf)

Here's to a fun season, and next year being more of a contender. Arsene seems a bit more serious about bringing in some talent for next year. I can't complain too much about this season, with the team we had and the injuries we suffered, I think we overachieved.

Arsenal have become the most predictable team to play against.
