From the BBC
Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas fears he may have a broken leg
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas fears his season may be over after suffering a suspected broken leg in Wednesday's 2-2 Champions League draw with Barcelona.
"I fear the worst, which is that I have broken something," said the midfielder, who limped off after his late penalty.
"It is the fibula. I think I put my leg between [Carles] Puyol's when I was fouled, and kicked it."
William Gallas' season may also be over after he suffered a calf injury, and Andrey Arshavin also faces a spell out.
While defender Gallas was stretchered off just before half-time and seems likely to miss the rest of Arsenal's campaign, Arshavin told his website that he expects to be back from his calf problem in two to three weeks.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger lamented the loss of both players, admitting that he had taken a risk on Gallas, who had missed the last six weeks through injury.
"Gallas has a calf strain and will be out for a while now," said Wenger. "I took a gamble that didn't pay off. Yes I regret that now. Arshavin has also done his calf."
Fabregas, who was a doubt before the quarter-final first leg with severe bruising to his knee and leg, was only declared fit to play after the final warm-up.
The 22-year-old was visibly pained after lashing in the equalising spot-kick five minutes from time against his boyhood club and left the Emirates on crutches.
"When I took the penalty, I was quite strong, but after when I went to get the ball, I could not walk any more," he added.
The Spaniard, who is suspended for the return leg in Barcelona after picking up a second booking of the competition, will have a scan on Thursday which may also have repercussions for his World Cup hopes.
"We have to wait, but I hope I can wear the Arsenal shirt again this season," he added.
"I do not think it is going to be good news, but still I hope there will be."
In better news for Arsenal, striker Robin van Persie is expected to return to full training in two weeks after being sidelined since November with an ankle ligament injury.
Wenger revealed he hopes to "give him some big games to aim for at the end of the season."
Van Persie, who suffered his injury playing for the Netherlands, had scored seven goals in the Premier League and one in the Champions League this season.

Yeah Arsene Wenger, you can frame that cheque book for another season. Cause at this spending rate, we will be lucky to have a first team!
He keeps talking trash about building a team for the future... WHAT FRIGIN FUTURE??? I don't care about the future, i want results NOW! These kids don't stick around when bigger clubs approach them with big money deals.
And you know what that means? Arsenal is a cash cow!

I beleive these players have done a great job till now, holding up in the title race and reached to the quarters of the champions league and held up well against barcelona (that game could of been much much worse for arsenal if it wasnt for Almunia's amazing saves, dont forget they lost Gallas and Arshavin in the first half as well)..
Imagine if Van persie and Ramsi were not injured, where would Arsenal be? on top of the table? maybe.. but u have to give these kids lots of credit for hanging on with the big dogs till April.. But till when will this last? Arsenal will lose all this in a window of one or two weeks (as usual).. i remember in the 2007-2008 season they lost their title hopes after losing to united, and in the same week they went crashing out of the CL..

I will quote Alan Hanson (1996), and hope that I get egg-faced like he did when he said:
"You can't win the championship with a bunch of kids"!
Alan Hanson was quoted saying this live on Sky Sports in Aug 1995 about Man United. United when on to win the double that season!
