I Wouldn't Have A Problem If Rijkaard Joined Milan - Ronaldinho
Milan star Ronaldinho talked about his return to form, his former coach Frank Rijkaard, and troubled countryman Adriano.
It has been a forgettable season so far for Milan, and their Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho, who made an inconsistent start to his adventure with the club after a high profile move from Barcelona last summer.
He started well enough, scoring some important goals including the match winner in the Milan derby, but after a while he was relegated to the bench, only in part due to his fitness problems.
Today he gave an interview to Sky in which he talked about his current situation with the club.
"I was very happy to score against Lecce, but more than the goal I missed playing with continuity," he revealed. "I was out for almost a month due to a problem to my heel. Now I want to play more."
Asked if he is happy again after a difficult period at Barcelona, 'Ronnie' said, "When I'm doing well and I play, I'm happy. I have rediscovered my serenity after a long period out. I've never liked staying on the bench, even though as a professional I have to respect the coach's decision."
On coach Carlo Ancelotti's future he commented, "I don't know whether he will stay. But that's the future. We have to think about doing well and ending the season well in the present. Our objective is to qualify for next season's Champions League.
"If [Frank] Rijkaard became the next Milan coach? He's a great friend of mine, I experienced five very positive years with him, we did very good things. He's a great coach, there wouldn't be any problems if I had to work with him again."
On his countryman and Brazilian international team mate Adriano, "I don't know what he's going through. All I know is that when he is in good shape he remains a great player. He's a friend of mine and I hope he can be happy again."
Ronaldinho has managed eight goals in his first Serie A season so far.
