Highest Paid Footballers (Football=Soccer :p)

France Football has compiled a list of the highest earners in football today and David Beckham, currently on loan at AC Milan from the LA Galaxy, tops the list. The England star is joined by club-mates Kaka and Ronaldinho.

Meanwhile, Barcelona's Lionel Messi comes in second place and Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo is also included. Three English internationals in Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, and John Terry round out the top ten.

In terms of coaching, two ex-Chelsea tacticians lead the way. Inter boss Jose Mourinho earns approximate €11 million, while Luiz Felipe Scolari earns slightly more than the 'Special One' from his contract with the Blues, valued at €12.5 million.

The top ten results for the highest paid players can be seen be below.

Top 10 List (in €)
1. David Beckham (Milan): 32.4 million
2. Lionel Messi (Barcelona): 28.6 million
3. Ronaldinho (Milan): 19.6 million
4. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United): 18.3 million
5. Thierry Henry (Barcelona): 17 million
6. Kaka (Milan): 15.1 million
7. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Inter): 14 million
8. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United): 13.5 million
9. Frank Lampard (Chelsea): 13 million
10. John Terry (Chelsea): 11.7 million

That's got to include endorsement money... Or else it's counting Becks' income averaged from the Galaxy. Other than Beckham on top, Henry a little overpriced, and Cristiano a little underpriced, the list looks about right.

I'm sure that is total income including endorsements. I think John Terry is on about 120 pounds a week, which comes out to about 6 million a year.

If the French put that list together i doubt it being correct - they don't know their asses from elbows.

if that's what Becks is making on the side from the Galaxy, I think it might be a bit much.......

So it's 6.24 Million... and that's assuming he's paid 52 weeks a year. I wouldn't be surprised if it were only for the season so figure more likely about 42 weeks.
