The first twelve weeks in fantasy football is all about making it to the "second season". Once you're there it's all about taking advantage of good matchups and hoping for a little good luck along the way. P-Track Lamont is here to tell you what matchups to take advantage of and what matchups to avoid in week 16 with the fantasy season quickly coming to a close...
Must Start Quarterback For Week 16
Matt Schaub – Houston Texans (@Oakland Raiders) – This has to be the no-brainer start of the year, right? Schauby just managed to hit Andre Johnson for over 200 yards (against the Titans’ defense, no less) and the Raiders just gave up 49 points to the Patriots. I know the NFL is bizarre from week to week, but how can you not expect similar results here? Andre 3000 might not go for 200 again, but Kevin Walter and Owen Daniels should contribute bigger number than they did last week.

P-Track Predicts: 21/33 – 330 YDs – 2 TDs

Must Start Runningback For Week 16

Kevin Smith – Detroit Lions (vs. New Orleans Saints) – The left-for-dead Lions actually managed to hang with the Colts for three quarters last week so I guess it’s nice to see they haven’t totally mailed it in. They’re a better team with Dan Orlovsky at QB than they are with Dante Culpepper, as he seems to be at least somewhat capable of hitting Calvin Johnson downfield and opening up the running game for Kevin Smith. Wouldn’t you agree that this is all but guaranteed to be one of the highest scoring games of the week?

P-Track Predicts: 22 Carries/90 YDs/TD

Must Start Receiver For Week 16

Hines Ward – Pittsburgh Steelers (@ Tennessee Titans) – Santonio Holmes got all the credit for the big Sunday night win against the Ravens, but Ward carries most of the offense (8 REC/100+ yards). It was a nice bounce-back game for Ward, who had quieted down a bit recently, and this weeks’ game against Tennessee reminds me a lot of the Ravens match-up. The Steelers will struggle to run the ball and we all know who reliable Big Ben finds little Hines.

P-Track Predicts: 9 RECs/95 YDs/2 TDs

Other Receivers to Sit / Start...

Must Start Tight End For Week 16

Dustin Keller – NY Jets (@ Seattle Seahawks) – Keller’s production has fallen back to earth over the last two games but there’s no reason to believe it will stay there. The Jets have two must-win games ahead of them and Keller is bound to figure into any winning formula they can come up with. Seattle’s defense is awful, so you have to plug him into your lineup.

P-Track Predicts: 6 RECs/75 YDs/TD

Other Tight Ends to Sit / Start...
