Dani Alves Tells Casillas To Make Good On Prediction

Casillas and his good friend, tennis world number one Rafael Nadal, yesterday anticipated that Real Madrid would edge Barcelona 0-1 when the two behemoths collide in El Clásico next month.

Barça’s superstar rightback Dani Alves, however, understandably believes otherwise but he declined to make any predictions of his own. Instead, he has asked for the Madrid shot-stopper to deliver come match time.

“Anyone can talk. That’s why we have freedom of expression. But then one has to deliver on the pitch with their actions,” he was quoted as saying by Marca.

“We are calm and we feel very strong. Whoever wants to beat us will have to sweat it out because we will do everything possible to make sure we win,” he added emphatically.

Alves then gave his views on Barcelona’s three other opponents that will sandwich the battle with Madrid: Sevilla, Valencia and Villarreal.

“How easy or how difficult these games will be depends solely on us.

“Theoretically, these four games are the most difficult in the league this season, but we will treat it with the same importance that we gave Valladolid or Almería or Recreativo.

“At the end, three points are always at stake and at Barça, we are prepared to use all our firepower to win them,” he stressed.

Finally, the 25 year old rightback confessed that he will not celebrate should he score against his former club, Sevilla and the two teams meet this Saturday.

“The game will be very special for me and if I score for Barcelona, I will not celebrate.

“I want to show Sevilla respect because I lived there and it was there where I grew as a person and as a footballer,” he concluded
