This isn't 100% but I want to check things out in case it gets the green light.

I'm heading out to LA at the end of January for a trade show, however our next show is in Vegas 8 days later. So the idea is being kicked around if myself and my counterpart should stay in LA for the time between to follow up on leads and schedule as many meetings as possible, then drive to Vegas for the next show.

What would you LA guys recommend in terms of a stay lasting 8-10days? I'm not sold on a hotel b/c that will get super expensive very quick.

Any thoughts? What areas should be look at (we will be at the LA Convention Center for the first show)?

Depends on your budget, but you could try Extended Stay America (closest one to the convention center would be the LAX airport location) if you want something inexpensive and efficient.

Also, please contact me if you're in need of a rental car. I offer pick-up from the Las Vegas area if you want to just fly back to Philly rather than coming back to L.A.

Maybe its time for another little TS get together? What are your plans while in town?

 

Not much as of yet. Technically it's a business trip, we land on the 27th late, set-up for the expo on the 28th, have the expo on the 29/30th.

After that we are just hoping to schedule sales calls throughout the week before heading to Vegas on Friday or Saturday for another trade show. So in other words my week could be very full or very open at this point.

 

Ok all is confirmed, I'll be out there from the 27th to the 4th. Staying in a condo new W Washington and La Brea

If anyone is around I'd love to meet up for a drink or whatever.

Also any good suggestions for food in the area?

That's a great area and there's a lot going on within walking distance. I'm out and about there often on weekend nights, you'll definitely enjoy your stay. A friend of mine actually lives in the building across from the Standard on the parking lot side(entrance is on Flower just past 6th), sounds like you might possibly be in the same building.

Anyone headed down to the LA Fit Expo this weekend? Lots of MMA stuff going on as well there.
