The surgery was today and it went well. Here is a little update from his aunt.

Hi, Susie might be too busy to reply tonight but the surgery went well and Alexander was still in recovery when I talked to Susie, he went in a bit late and then they couldnt see him till after 6 so that is why they hadnt contacted anyone. Susie or Sandy will update how he is doing in the morning. Aunty Lisa.

Here is an email Susie sent:

Hi Everyone, our prayers were heard and Alexander is out surgery. Here is Susie's email to us:

Hello Everyone,

We are very grateful to say; Alexander's surgery has gone well. We actually won't be able to speak to the surgeon until the morning. But as far as we know things went well.
It has been a very long day. Sandy and I are just back at the hotel from the hospital.

He had to stay in recovery quite a while and the poor guy is in a fair bit of pain.
They are staying on top of it though. Sandy and I had to laugh at Alexander though because all he wanted to do was to be moved to his room so he could
watch the hockey game and he said he was mad that "they were taking so long to move him!" How dare they interfere with his hockey time!

He did get to see the end and the Canucks lost to the Ducks if anyone missed the game!

I will send an update tomorrow. We will know more. The main thing is, he came through this alright and that's all that really matters today!

Thanks to all for your well wishes and concern!

Susie

Message from Susie

Yeah, Alexander is home!

He is very relieved to be home. Pretty tired but this is to be expected.

We have to go back on Thursday afternoon to have his stints removed. We are very happy to be at home. I think he will have a better recovery in the comfort of his on environment. So for now it's just rest and healing. He will be pain free soon and says he is already feeling relief from this procedure.

We want to thank everyone once again for your good thoughts and prayers. It I know has made a huge difference for Alexander and his spirit knowing that everyone has been pulling for him!

Thank you again

Susie
