I received this email from Alexander's mom last night. Please send him your prayers today for a successful surgery and recovery. I will keep everyone posted as we learn more.

Hello All,

I just wanted to let you know that Alexander is having surgery tomorrow morning.

As most of you already know; He has been having problems with his kidneys.

He's going to have some several small stones removed on his left side and has some larger ones one the right. One for sure is infectious. The procedure is about 4 hours and depending on how this goes we have been told that he may very well need to have some blood transfusions.

We know what the risk of this surgery is, but there are no choices here. It is amazing with what he has been going through. So if he can get some relief from it will be worth it.

I will send out a message most likely in the evening and let you know how he makes out. I hope I haven't left anyone out. If I have could you please pass the info on for us.

How have I missed out on this thread! Everything everybody is doing for him is just fantastic! Another reason why Teamspeed is the best forum... it has the best members.

This really is a heartwarming story. I can't imagine all Alexander has been through. It's cool that all the exotic owners did everything for him too..if I remember correctly I believe Alexander was at Sir Mix a lot's video premiere of Carz.

Keep fighting Alexander, you're in my thoughts and prayers.

 

This all happened back in April of last year and started as a small request on Fchat by a friend of a friend who wanted his nephew to see a Ferrari. What that group of 12 people from Fchat did that day spawned a movement that was felt throughout the west coast car world.

Yes TS is the best forum, but this one started on another great place by some wonderful guys in LA. Here in the NW we were lucky enough to see what had happened in CA, NV, AZ and OR and we all knew we had to put something together here too.

Alexander and his family are wonderful people and anyone who had the chance to meet them will concur, it was as heart warming for us as it was for them.

Yes they did make it down from BC for the Carz premier, he had a great time being treated like a star!
