Going to NAPA 10,000 budget for the weekend

You read the title. Where should I stay and what should I do. Last time I was there (03) we stayed at the Ritz in Half moon bay and did a day trip. This time I want to live it up for our anniversary. Looking for your opinions? Nicest place to stay?

I just got back from there, had a fun time. I'd recommend setting up an appointment for Del Dotto Vineyards. Make sure to get the full cave tasting, it's worth it!

stay at Auberge du Soleil.

Eat at French Laundry one night and either lunch or casual dinner at Ubuntu.

Steve nailed it. I was just at French Laundry with Chuck a few weeks ago and it was insane. I will be back up in July with the wife at Auberge and will be going to Ubuntu and Meadowood.

Eat at Taylor's Automatic Refresher in St Helena; best hamburgers I've ever had. Make sure you order sweet potato fries.

Picnic at V. Sattui. Walk across the street to Dean and Deluca for some sandwiches and Bouchon cookies (nutter-butter and macaroons are damn tasty), buy a bottle of Sattui (I like their chardonnay), and eat at one of their picnic tables.

Given your budget, I'd also check out Bouchon and Ad Hoc which are Thomas Keller restaurants and a bit cheaper and easier to get into than French Laundry. As for me,the closest I can get to Thomas Kellar food is the Bouchon Bakery .

My wife and I just got back from Napa last weekend.

We stayed at this b&b Napa Hotels * Napa Hotels CA * Napa Hotels and Lodging * Napa Valley Hotels * White House Inn and Spa

We had a great time and the room was beautiful. Never been to a b&b with a plasma on the wall and a fireplace in our room. Also the b&b is brand new and they have a great breakfast and wine and cheese every afternoon at 5:30pm which is after most of the vinyards close.

speaking of, the best tasting wine we had was at Alpha Omega which stays open until 6pm. Great to know as most of the others have closed by then.

Have a great time!

+1 for Auberge and French Laundry. I'll probably go up for a weekend soon., Auberge is great for pampering.
