Haven't smoked one yet. Going to let them sit in my humi for a while. But I hope they smoke as good as the Upmann robustos that were released a few years ago and were outstanding.

 

Going to head over to the Thompson Cigar warehouse in a few days to go on a buying expedition for my vacation up in PA.

And of course I'm going to get a few to smoke down here as well.

 

Went to a place called Total Wine and More today after lunch.

Picked up a Padron 7000 Maduro to smoke with this Cigar City Brewing Maduro beer. A Romeo Y Julieta Habana Reserve Toro and a Habana Reserve Churchill. A new brand to me, Punch Gran Puro Pico Bonito, and finally, on advice from B9EV a Brick House Mighty Mighty.

One thing I saw there that caught me off guard was Quorum and Case De Garcia. What's up with these sticks? They're sub $2 sticks and the Case De Garcias looked like crap, but the Quorums didn't loo to bad at all.

Anyone have experience with them?

 

Nice package came in the mail from the UBC's clearance sale. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

OK, I've got some CC porn for you guys on something you've surely never seen. The Edmundo Dantes El Conde 109 2007 Regional Edition for Mexico (only 600 boxes made) and the Edmundo Dantes Conde 54 2011 Regional Edition for Mexico (only 1,000 boxes made)-- these just arrived today. Never heard of an Edmundo Dantes? That's because these are the only two cigars ever made under that name, which is actually a brand name for Cuban rum. Notice how the bands look just like Montecristo bands? The Mexican cigar distributor wanted a special regional edition of Montecristos. But there is a trademark conflict in Mexico so they could not use the Montecristo name. So they came up with the closest thing - Edmundo Dantes.
