Happy Day! Happy Day!!!
Only 6 days from notice of shipment! It is a good day today.
Not as nice of day as UBC had, but still, a very nice day!

Temp. control on a budget! Should be here in a few days
UBC, et. al - do you have any insight into beads/kitty litter? Should I just grab a pound or two of Heartfelt and be done with it? Next will be some drawers from chasidor.com

Lawrence: I did a thread on coolidor setup in the Smoke and Vine forum that you should check out for the set up. You're going to need a tray for the beads, one or two CPU fans and a timer for the fans. I explain all this in my post and I think I even gave the names of the parts so you can google them and find buy them over the web. As to beads, you're going to need two pounds of 65% beads from Heartfelt. I have 1.5lbs on the bottom and 0.5lbs on the top shelf in a small container. It's good to have the beads exposed in trays (as opposed to keeping them in bags) so that you can periodically spray them with distilled water (you're also going to need a small spray bottle). If you fill the coolidor with boxes, after a month or so, the RH% in the coolidor will stabilize and you'll barely ever need to add water -- maybe a 10 squeezes of the water bottle every couple months.
Also, keep in mind that the more shelves or drawers that you put in the coolidor, the less space you're going to have for boxes. I have two shelves only and can fit around 16 boxes. If I were to add another shelf, I might only be able to squeeze in 12-14 boxes.
BTW, if you did not buy a name brand cooler, it might be very hard to have shelves made. Chasidor offers some standard shelves for a few well known coolers. But it's virtually impossible to get them to do a custom project. The guy does not even return phone calls or emails. You should check their site and make sure that they offer ready made shelves for your cooler. If not, then return it and buy a different cooler.
