so i want to buy a bottle of wine for a friend, and as a non drinker i dicovered how ignorant i am in this, can some one teach me the basic, i see wine prodcued in different countries, etc... give me tips how can i tell if the wine is good or not ... etc.

Too difficult to explain in short. Your best bet is to go to a reputable store, ask the salesperson to help you find something good in your price range.

Wine is way to complicated to learn about on an internet forum. If you want to buy your friend a nice bottle of wine your best bet is to ask the salesperson.
