Wineries in Santa Cruz

I am going to be taking some very well needed time off next weekend and spending five days in Santa Cruz....I'd like to visit some wineries in the area and I'm hoping to compile a list with recommendations you all might be able to share. Thank you kindly in advance...

Robyn

You have to go to Ridge Vineyard not really in the Santa Cruz Mt. but close enough that you can't miss one of California's great wine makers! (http://www.ridgewine.com/). Has the best views of the entire Bay Area from the top of the Mt. bring your lunch here!

Kathryn Kennedy is another great wince maker you'll need to call here first but not very far from Ridge (http://www.kathrynkennedywinery.com/)

David Bruce makes some very nice Pinot Noir (http://www.davidbrucewinery.com/)

Byington Vineyard right next door to David Bruce (http://www.byington.com/) nice place to bring your lunch and take in the view.

Have a great time if I wasn't doing a 100 mile bike ride this weekend I would have been glad to meet up with you and show you around Ridge I have been a member there for 20 years!

I like making my way to SC by hitting www.fogartywinery.com first, then byington, then www.bonnydoonvineyard.com. Then its a nice ride along the coast to SC
