A closer look at the 288 Evoluzione. This car is one of 5 ever made. It was built to homologate the 288GTO for group B racing. It is significant to the history of the F40 because its development was used extensively in the development of the F40, and you can see various hints to that in the interior shots. This is what enabled the F40 to go from go ahead to production in such a short time.
Sadly, Group B rules changed, and the 288 Evo never raced. Its not the prettiest design, but an owner has kindly shared that it is nicer looking in person
I doubt anyone here would turn it down !
