I will run a new set of pirelli pzero assimetricos, although this is a non-abusive fun track event with many other vintage ferraris that are not looking to get bent up ! I'm not a track hero, so I don't intend to run 10/10ths or anything...just have some fun as you have aptly stated !!!
My car is not classiche certified. I know its 100% original, so do the judges at Cavallino and other concours it has won...since I don't intend to sell it, Classiche is a bit pointless to me. Maybe eventually I'll consider it as part of a routine major service, but I'm not really that worried about Classiche certifiying it. For buyers and sellers it might be something of value, but what happens after a car is certified ?...whats to stop someone from changing anything on the car to make it non 100% original...would it then be re-certified ?

On the Classiche certification, that is very interesting because I was told that Ferrari was going to start demanding that all cars participating in these types of events be certified. My position on this is identical to yours. I have no interest in selling my F40 so why bother.

Have a great time on the track. I fully understand your approach. It is all about driving enjoyment and having fun within your comfort zone.

Felix, it is going to be the week of the F1 race at Bahrain, with the race being on April 6th. The event is called the Ferrari Festival and will consist of a display pavilion and track demonstrations. Some of the cars include 2 original 62 GTO's, 512S, 312 T1 and 312T2, 2004F1 car, original TR's, LWB California Spyder, F50, Enzo, 290MM Spyder, 275GTB 6 Carb, and numerous other classic F1 and road going Ferraris. The track event on Mon and Tues after the event will be very special, with manufacturers like Ruf doing "demonstrations" ! My camera and video batteries are fully charged !!!
Its worth the trip to Bahrain Felix, are you in ?

Hey guys...I have a question.
I've had this picture on my computer for a while now. I think I saw some other pictures from the same event earlier in this thread when I went through it a couple days ago. Is there any more of the black F40 in the foreground? Pictures and/or info.
Thanks in advance.
