71 Bronco - Prepare to drool Bronco lovers

Awesome Bronco! Although I had two of the last body style bronco I's it was one of the most fun vehicles I've ever driven. Just take the top off and go camping for the weekend, go through some mud and ruts without worry. Awesome.

I'm actually in SLO tonight and tomorrow. I'll be in SF on Monday. Are you close to either of these two?

^^I am located about 45 min from SF, in Sonoma. A ride\drive in the red beast could very well be just a short drive away on monday. Can you make it out of SF to Sonoma on Monday evening?
Send me a PM and let's make it happen
P.s. The Bronco toasted a new M5 at the strip tonight despite running way too rich. It laid down a sub 2 second 60 ft time on way to a 13.1 despite manual short shifting at 5k rpm. A little tuning and the beast is in the low 12's

Here is the time slip from last night when I took the Bronco to the strip for open drag night at Infineon. A new M5 was in the other lane. I launched the Bronco easy (no brake stand and squeezed into the throttle as opposed to brakestanding and/or stomping the throttle off the line) and manually shifted at 5,000 rpms (let off gas, move lever, stomp on gas). It was not breathing well above 5k rpms The shift from 2nd to 3rd at 90 or so mph killed my trap speed. Still a 13.1 on 32" off-road tires with a soft launch and slow/short-shifting is not bad
I was not sure how it was going to run, but this was a great first run. It launched easy and ran straight and true down the strip. The guy driving the M5 was stunned when I jumped out 3-4 lengths on him right off the line and held him off for the entire run.
Its time to put the Bronco on a chassis dyno with a computer hooked up to it. Need to dial in the high-rpm A/F mixture as well as the trans shift points. I see low 12's out of this beast very soon
The Bronco was car 189 on the slip. The other car on this slip was a new M5.

Here's the scary part about that 60' time. I launched it in 2wd with no brake stand at all and I squeezed into the throttle. I am going to play around with some different launch rpms and also launching it in 4wd. I seriously think a low 12 with a 1.8 60' is well within reach with a little practice
