It was mainly the one turbo. The engine and gearbox had small leaks, so they opening everything to re-seal and check while they're at it.

With all the labour involved, I decided just to replace everything else.

Sounds like a good plan. This thing has to mean alot to you so good to see your taking the proper steps to get it to top condition again!

It has a special place in the garage. You can definitely feel it was from a totally different era.

More updates:

The engine is cleaned and coming back together.

How she sits now.

I guess with the TTS best thing to do is keep it stock, but when one of my turbos failed, I put in K24's. (Hybrids are arguably better). What exhaust did you decide to go with? Who is doing the work? I am going to beat on mine and continue to overmaintain it, until I have to swallow the big engine rebuild pill. If you are putting in new turbos, you should consider some of these (see link below too). They defintely help with drips of oil from turbos by preventing flow back of oil from case to turbos.

You are a man of sophisticated taste Thank you Jas. It was a bit of a shock considering the mileage, but I'm sure she will drive better than ever afterwards. Can't wait to get her back!

The TTS over here comes stock with K24's. I believe the regular turbo has K16's. The exhaust is a combination of Fabspeed from the header to mid section and the mufflers and tips from Supersprint to keep with the OEM look from the rear for the TTS.

Porsche are doing the rebuild for me and giving me a 2 year warranty which is a relief. I already have those lines going in along with the rebuild
