You're scraping for a 993 at that point.

Pete, those are absolutely stunning examples. I am not even hoping to get anything with such little miles. What do you think about this one 1996 porsche 911 993 last air cooled black/black

^ looks nice, but as you know with a car like this pictures don't tell much of the story.

IMO, don't buy something like this unless you have a pretty good budget to work with. It's not the cost of the car that will get you, it's the cost to maintain it. Even being such low millage cars, I know both of the above cars' owners have pumped serious money into them to bring them up to snuff

Why does every 964 turbo owner feel the need to ad an 'upgraded' radio. Been looking for a long time now and almost every single one listed has a alpine or pioneer 'upgrade'. Leave it stock.

Pete, please dont get me wrong. I know all about buying cars from pictures since I am in the car business myself. I also currently own an E30 and E36 so I also very well aware of buying a car and dumping a lot of money into it. Also knowing myself I will want to do all the traditional mods to it right away.

What is the biggest problem 993s have that I should look out for?

Here's a fun driver that may spark your interest. With the paint history and mileage there may be negotiating room at 35K...
