My fiance's Aunt and Uncle invited us over to their house for dinner tonight. They have no children of their own, and she is basically their daughter. They just moved from San Diego to Little Rock to be near her as they grow older. They are 80, and a wonderful, active couple.

Before dinner they were showing me around the house, and he takes me out into the garage. In the corner, under bedsheets for covers, was a Golden Green, 5-speed, 1969 Porsche Targa. He is the original owner, 160k miles, never had anything break, engine never apart, every mile his. He has replaced the leather interior and Targa top, and that's it. Good condition. a few dings, but he still drives it maybe once a week.

Pretty cool. I'm usually more of a high speed, horsepower kinda guy. But this car was sweet. I could definitely see restoring it someday. Of course I could also see dropping it, motor swap, adjustable suspension, new wheels and tires, and making it a cool sleeper. Fun find.

Will do on the pics. The Golden Green was a custom order color. I like it. He said the dealers kept no inventory back then, and every car was made-to-order.

This was at night, with poor lighting. He promised he would come pick me up in it in a week or two during the day, pending nice weather. And I'll definitely get some pics then.
