It's a cool idea, but I can't imagine Mini really expected the race to go down. Porsche has no reason to show up because they can only prove that the higher horsepower, more expensive car wins, or even worse that it loses. Nothing to win and everything to lose.

The Porsche response is perfectly put though, and the invitation to Le Mans and saying enjoy the day on the 21st is hilarious. I'm glad a couple car companies don't take themselves too seriously.
