Thatcher's 993 RSR clone build project thread!
I recently bought my first 993: a Polar Silver '95 C2. I bought it as a project that my friend Roberto started almost a year ago. He had the interior gutted, had a cage welded in, and had a new quarter panel welded on. He then bought a c2S turbo, and decided to sell the rsr project to me. I started working on the car this past week, I'm hoping to have it finished and on the road by March 1st. The motor will remain fairly stock until next winter.
Going onto the car:
Body:
- Kevlar / Carbon roof
- RSR flares and front lip
- 3.8 RS wing
Interior:
- Leather Recaro Pole Positions
- Schroth harnesses
- Leather RS door cards
- B-quiet ultimate sound deadening
- German RS carpet kit
Suspension:
- KW V3 coilovers
- Tarett drop links, front and rear
- Tarett adj. toe control arms
- monoballs
- subframe mounts
- Walrod bushings
Wheels:
- Kinesis K28's 18x9 18x11 (track setup)
- 3 piece Twists 18x9.5 18x11 (street)
- Fikse FM5's 18x9 18x11.5 (street)
- RH 3.6 turbo wheels 18x9.5 18x11.5 (street)
How the car looked when I took over the project:
Wednesday I prepped the cage for awlgrip anti-corrosion sealer and did some test fitting with the flares and various width wheels. Thursday I painted the cage with the sealer. Friday I prepped the cage again and painted two coats of awlgrip 545 primer. Tomorrow I'll prep the cage and interior for base coat and clear.
updates coming soon!

Hey Casey!
Thanks guys, I'm definitely looking forward to making some more progress. Unfortunately though, I'm flying out to Boston tonight and will be on the East coast for three weeks visiting friends and family. Once I get back in early January though, I should be able to make some serious headway on the car.
