Not exactly. Actually the car was a "normal" silver 959, which was crashed by the German racer Jürgen Lässig. After the crash, the company "Auto Becker" in Dusseldorf rebuilt and modified the car into a "959 Speedster". The car was presented at the IAA 1989.
