Is this 993 turbo S a good buy?

This is some great discussion on a great car. Keep it up everyone, I wish I had something to add here as I'm passionate about this car and own one as well, but you guys have pretty much covered everything.

^What it comes down to is shitty global economy makes cars that are anything but spectacular, sink. The spectacular cars are in collectors hands, and not necessarily enthusiasts. The less-than-spectacular cars end up with people who are looking for a deal and think they can turn a project into a spectacular car. It's just not going to happen. Savvy buyers know which cars are where and what they have gone through. At ~180 cars, the TurboS isn't exactly rare like say a pre-war Benz or Ferrari Lusso. There are always multiple cars available.
My advice: If you want a TurboS to drive, find the best deal you can on a car that has a few issues and live with it. If you're looking for something to take out once a month and want to see a return on your investment, wait, research, shop, research some more, buy smart and sit tight.
My take: That 600-mile car that spg has is going to break $1/4 million within the next 3 to 4 years (if not sooner), the 40K mile coffee-stain car won't be over a hundred for years to come. Everything in between should be treated on a case-by-case basis.
Opinions expressed are mine, YMMV and as always, caveat emptor.

i love 993s. but as much as i love a 993 Turbo, or an S (frankly, i've owned both, the non-S is so much more approachable and enjoyable (not that the S isnt, but its kind of rare to drive everyplcae you go))....as much as i love 993s....man, the 964 Turbos would be my top choice for air cooled porsche. no comparison. rough and tumble. torque that makes your head snap back. tons of great styling ,maybe even a bit more aggressive than the 993s...as durable as the 993....just a ton, ton of fun. a ton!!
go find a nice 964 turbo. maybe like 70 to 90 dependon miles, color, etc.
