I thought the main problem with those is that they usually don't drive at all?

I'm a sucker for these also. I'll never sell mine. And they do drive, as long as you use it. If it sits around with minimal use, like mine's done for the past 2 years, then you're constantly sorting little bits out. Before I got the 911 TT, the Esprit was my daily in the summer. My buddy still uses his as his summer daily. Great fun cars, even if they are a little problematic.

The Esprit is very fascinating and one of my all time favorite cars. The older ones in the sense that they are very cult, and the newer ones in the sense that they are drop dead gorgeous. As long as they're not so new that they have the round tail lights . . .

I don't even care if they aren't reliable. I'd just stand at the side of the road admiring the gorgeous cloud of smoke and electric malfunctioning as I await the tow truck.

I mean like this:

Hahaha, I tried to rep you but I've got to spread it around.

Luckily I haven't experienced the smoke cloud, but I have had the electronics fail when Lucas (the Prince of Darkness) visited me on several occasions. Usually a quick "tap" on the fusebox (yes, it's THAT quirky) is all that's needed to fix it

In all seriousness though; I'm a big fan of the Esprit too, especially the V8 cars.
