Sebastian Vettel & Red Bull Confirmed To Attend 2012 Goodwood Festival Of Speed
Reigning F1 World Champions Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull confirmed to attend the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed
Lord March is delighted to announce today (Wednesday 14 March) the attendance of the Red Bull Racing F1 team at this year's Festival of Speed (29 June - 01 July) with its double Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel, who is due to appear at Goodwood for the very first time.
Sebastian's Red Bull Racing team mate and regular Goodwood supporter Mark Webber will also be in attendance at the Festival this summer.
The Red Bull Racing team and its drivers will appear in action at Goodwood one week before the British Grand Prix, giving Festival spectators and F1 fans the chance to see the drivers and team at much closer quarters than they are traditionally able to at a GP circuit.
The astonishing achievements of double F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel perfectly personify the 2012 Festival of Speed theme - Young Guns - Born to Win - which celebrates huge motor racing talent at an early age whose supreme ability and insatiable thirst for speed have shocked the establishment, affording them immediate superstar status.
Throughout motor sport history, an elite group of newcomers have announced their arrival on the world stage with performances so stunning as to instantly rewrite the status quo. As with motor sport's other racing greats - Bernd Rosemeyer, Mike Hawthorn, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ayton Senna, Mike Hailwood, Valentino Rossi, Henri Toivonen and Colin McRae; Sebastian Vettel has made an impact on F1 that was as immediate as it is indelible.
The Festival of Speed's unique ability to attract the top works F1 teams is one of its key strength, and already seven 2012-season teams have indicated their intention to attend Goodwood this year. Nowhere else in the world can motor sport enthusiasts get so close to the latest and greatest cars and drivers. Current F1 teams expected to appear this year include McLaren, Lotus, Williams, Caterham, plus of course reigning Constructers World Champions Red Bull Racing.
In addition to Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber, look out at Goodwood for familiar F1 faces such as Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Bruno Senna, Sir Jackie Stewart, Martin Brundle, Murray Walker, Sir Frank Williams, Ron Dennis, Patrick Head, Ross Brawn, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey, all of whom have attended the Festival in recent years, with many expected to return this year.
