Clearly the goal is to get the NYC skyline in the background for TV.

That's not a great goal.

This is a better background:

Having never been there I can't say, but from those Google Maps pictures it looks like that area is mainly industrial and pretty ugly. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Good for F1, after having us keep such odd hours to watch the races on the other side of the world.

Doesn't Germany have two races from time to time aswell? The Nürburgring and Hockenheim (European GP)? Correct me if I'm wrong.

About the race; I'd love if there would be a race in NJ! I mean, why not? I'd love to see some new venues!

Edit: Looks like Germany HAD 2 races from time to time but not anymore.

Laguna Seca would be fun, except the residents there are jackasses. I mean, forcing the track to have a sound limit because YOU ficking bought a house for a good price years ago because it was NEXT TO THE RACETRACK!?!?!???

So is our GP officially the TXGP now? Sounds better than USGP.

NY would not be a good idea. Another boring track with zero passing zones. The only street circuit worth a $hits is Monaco.

Nah, the European GP is held at Valencia in Spain, while Germany has one a year, alternating between the Nurburgring and Hockenheim
