Autoweek is reporting that on October 25 at 2:00 pm Eastern, Speed TV will be breaking from its regular slate of programming for a "special announcement concerning the future of Formula One racing in the United States."
This is widely expected to be the formal announcement of a race to be held in New Jersey starting in 2013.
The push for a race - which would take place on a street circuit in Weehawken with a view of the Manhattan skyline - has been spearheaded by former YES Network boss Leo Hindery, Jr. Hindery is married to Speed TV executive Patti Wheeler.
The race will likely be promoted in tandem with the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal and will be in addition to the U.S. Grand Prix to be held in Austin, Texas starting in November 2012.

So this would make the USofA the only country to host two races, IF we can maintain political stability?
Good for F1, after having us keep such odd hours to watch the races on the other side of the world.
