For me, I think it ended up being $1,000-1,200 for plane ticket, race ticket, food, cab/subway. Factor in another $600-1,000 for a hotel.

I'm making the trip this year!!! Already have my ticket purchased thanks to the help of Dana and I am working out the rest of the details now. So count me in on the festivities! Looking forward to it!

I would think about driving up to save some money. I know a couple years ago some friends did that. I might be in for making the trip up there. $600 for 2 or 3 nights at a hotel is... a lot.
