WTF is the FIA doing with the blown diffuser rule?! Some teams are cut back to 10% throttle, others are allowed 50%? This will make things interesting. I guess we'll see how big of a difference the blown diffuser really makes.

The FIA rescinded that allowance of the Renault cars, so everyone's limited to 10-20% throttle on braking, while the Mercedes-powered cars are allowed an engine overrun (whatever that really is). Horner interviewed with BBC and said that Ferrari came out of the meeting all smiles, and that hopefully the next race they may go back to the regular blown diffuser rules or some other rule change to level the playing field. It's ridiculous really. What's funny is that the FIA tries to keep costs down with their silly regulations, but changing the rules midseason just causes all the teams to spend many more millions altering their cars.

The McLarens still aren't looking impressive, and if the mid-level teams all go out on softs I reckon they'll need to also to cover their position. The Bulls and Ferraris look like they'll be fine with their hard tire laps.

Both Williams cars went out on soft tires while the rest of cars at the top of the charts were on hard tires.
