This kind of sums it up.

 

I think this is interesting though. Hamilton was matching Vettels times until his car got damaged. Their car arrived in Australia untested, and completed a race distance for the first time in the actual race (so arguably this was McLaren's first full test).

I think the game is going to shift to McLaren once they take this data back and come back with an upgrade.

Also Kubica must be kicking himself. If Petrov took third, he could have been a contender.

 

I seriously doubt Kubica would have done much better than 3rd, himself - part of what allowed Petrov past Button is that Button wasn't really paying much attention to him. If it were Kubica, he would have been blocked more actively. No-one will let Petrov by like that again.

GREAT drive by Petrov. I've added him to my Fantasy team and ditched Rosberg, who was worthless all weekend.
