Horner - Hamilton Won't Tolerate Another Bad Year At McLaren

Uh oh. Could this be laying the groundwork to lure Lewis away and replace Webber??

Jeezes... Its not like Webber sucks... last time I checked he damn near was World Champion last year and led in points for the majority of the season. I can't imagine they would scrap him just like that for Hamilton.

True. But you cannot deny that - given his age - he is at the end of his career.

The real obstacle to moving Hamilton is his price tag.

Hamilton isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Isn't he trying to win 3 WDC for Dennis so that he can get that McLaren F1?

ya he makes enough to just buy his own

Bah, slow news day. Hamilton's been with McLaren for years as one of their junior drivers. He was 3rd last year in points. Not like he had a 'bad' year.

Red Bull, just like any other team (possible exception: Ferrari) are after the two fastest and best drivers they can sign. You only need to look at the revolving door that is the Red bull driver development program to realize that they give seats based on results. F1 is a business; not a feel-good movie.

Let's be real. Webber, on his day, is very fast, but he's not half the driver Hamilton is..

The facts from last year say it all. Of the top 3 teams, Webber had the best reliability, drove the outright fastest car, yet still managed to finish behind Alonso and only 2 points clear of Hamilton. You can't make mistakes like he did in Australia, Valencia, Spa and Korea and expect to win the title. Especially if you have a faster driver across the garage.

Hamilton, on the other hand, managed to beat a 2x World Champ in his rookie year. if that's not an indicator of superstardom, I don't know what is.

It would be very interesting to see Hamilton and Vettel together in the same team.

That said it is hard to picture Hamilton driving anything other than a McLaren, especially considering the history they've had together even when Hamilton was a young boy.

In professional sports - whether good or bad - winning comes before loyalty every time.

Especially in F1 when so much is on the line and one's prime is so short.

I don't know Dana.

I see Ron Dennis having the same clause in Hamilton's contract like Ferrari had with Kimi.

Leave the team, can't race for a single season with another.
