The problem with a 4 driver team is that you take too big a risk that you won't get pole or the win.
You almost have to get the pole bonus and the winning points to be competitive.
For instance, I went 1, 4, 7 in the race, but beat my son who went 2, 3, 4 because I had the pole sitter and the winner.
