*2011 Teamspeed Formula 1 Fantasy League discussion thread* Since I closed the fantasy league feeler thread, I decided to start up a fantasy league discussion thread to keep things more organized and cut down on confusion. To kick things off, I'll start with this question: Which is the best strategy: a 3, 4, or 5 driver team? |
I have 4. |
I have 3. 5 is way too hit or miss. 4 might be a good idea, but I still think 3 is the best. |
But if you blow your whole 40 million on three guys - say Vettel, Hamilton and Massa - how much value can you expect to gain over the first 5 races? They are already so expensive. Even if they win or podium all of those races, there isn't that much value there. Maybe they go up 1 million. On the other hand, say you pick Vitaly Petrov - in what has appeared to be a very fast Renault car - and he has a few top 5 finishes. He could shoot up 2 or 3 million. I think you must have 4 drivers if you plan to gain any value and add drivers during the season. |
^ I don't know. Last season the people who had shooters off the bat had it locked up. I tried the cheaper driver approach and it didn't work too well (of course I got to busy to watch/change my team..) |
It worked if you had Vettel AND Webber or Alonso. Vettel and Webber were CHEAP before the season last year. |
I have 4 drivers. |
It was also easier to run 4 drivers the first year we did this when you could swap people out mid-race. I still really miss the old setup. |
|
I have 3 right now. Good point Dana. I may revisit my lineup. |
